Kissing in the back row of the movies on a Saturday night

Jaime and I have just got back from the cinema and it is the first time we have been to the pictures in absolutely ages. The last time was when we went to see a critically acclaimed film called Hard Candy, which turned out to be pretty dull and Jaime was so bored and mad at wasting 2 hours watching it that he vowed never to go to the cinema with me again. That was well over a year ago so I think Jaime must have forgotten what he said. This time we went to see a new Spanish suspense / terror film called The Orphanage which was great. It was very jumpy and girls were squealing throughout the cinema which made Jaime and I giggle quite a lot. It was nice to be on a 'date' with my other half, we don't go out 'out' much anymore and it was nice to cuddle up in the cinema and hold hands. Afterwards we went for a quick beer and a bite to eat and then home.

The whole experience reminded me of a song I used to listen to on my record player by the Drifters:

Kissing in the back row
of the movies on a saturday night with you
holding hands together you and I
holding hands together (yeah)
smooching in the back row
of the movies on a saturday night with you
we could stay forever, you and I
we could stay forever, you and I
hugging and a kissing in the back row of the movies

Our New Baby

Last week it was out with the old and in with the new as Jaime and I traded in our old red Golf GTI (the one to the right of Jaime in the photo) for a shiny new (or new to us - 10 months old) red Golf TDI Sportline ( the one on the the left). She is a beauty and I could really tell the difference on the drive up to Jiame's village, so comfortable, so quiet, so sexy! I am so in love with the car,but not so much with what she is costing us per month!

Jesus Christ Superstar

Last night we celebrated Nedra's birthday in style. We started the evening by going to see the fantabulous Spanish version of Jesucristo Superstar which I absolutely loved and want to go back and see again! Then we went to Gumbo's for dinner, a New Orleans style restaurant, but really it was supper since we didn't sit down to eat until quarter to 12 at night! Had some lovely food and lots and lots of laughs. It's just sad that it oculd be one of the last birthdays we ever get to celebrate with Miss Rivera, who has booked a flight home to Seattle for the 20th of November. Boo Hoo!

Catch Up

So I know that I have been very bad at writing my blog over the summer and I have been paying more attention to my facebook page so I thought I had better update you on what I've been up to over the past few months.

The first week of September was spent down on the South-East coast of Spain on one of our annual camping trips. A new tent was pitched which was lovely and spacious and we went to many a beach soaking up the sun and swimming with the fishes. After that I went to Huddersfield to visit the folks and the friends and play Bingo (and win) with my dad.

Last week I started back at work which was a killer but I am happy with the classes I have got, if not with the timetable.

I think that is all that I can tell you about our summer holidays!
