Many Happy Returns 06-05-1989

I remember when this little michilin tyre bearing sumo wrestler came into the world and I was happy as larry to have a little brother but also as jealous as hell. I mean I had been an only child for 8 years and now I was going to have to share my parents with this farting and crying 'bundle of joy'.

Happy 18th birthday
to my little bro, Adam, who is not all that little anymore. Hope you had a great day yesterday with your mates. Love you lots, your big sis x

B . I. N. G. O !

Last night I finally managed to talk some people into going to Bingo with me. I have developed quite a liking for the game after being introduced to it at my father's Working Men's Club in Lepton.

Justin, Nick, Leticia, Jaine, her cousin Jen and Martha all accompanied me to the Bingo Hall after copious amounts of wine in the Barrio. I was feeling a little typsy by the time we arrived, we had to show our ID to get in and then wait for the red light to go green so that we could enter the room. I was rather taken aback, not at all like Bingo at the club with my parents on a Tuesday night, this is serious stuff. The room was ginormous with row upon row of circular tables and people hunched over with very serious faces. The stakes are much higher too, it costs 2€ for one little card, but of course the benefits are higher too.

It was about the fourth round and I had decided to buy 3 cards and push the boat out a little! I couldn't afford a full six for one game. I was crossing off the numbers here and there and I suddenly realised that I only needed one more number. Number 33. I nudged Justin and started flapping my arms and when the woman called 33 it was like everything went into slow motion. Nick and Martha were shouting "Faye that's your numer, that's your number" and I was looking down gormlessly thinking 'They're right that's my number" and after a few seconds I screamed BINGO at the top of my lungs. A lot more excitedly than anyone else in the room to have called Bingo previously. The usherette came over and informed me that I had won 304.56€ and then I spent the following ten minutes in a state of shock and hopeless giggling, I couldn't believe that I had just won the equivalent of 200 quid in under 25 minutes. This could be potentially dangerous, I can feel an addiction forming. I will have to quit smoking to fund my new habit I think!
