A Fond Farewell

Saturday was time for another farewell. This time it was Jake's turn after nine years of teaching at the BLC. You can see him in the photo reading the book which we all wrote messages in for him to remember us in years to come. It was a great night, but also sad because we had to say goodbye to someone who has been a great colleague and friend.

A fair few of us got together for the evening at Pablo Casal's (Dave and Cathy's and soon to be Alex's flat) Clare, Eve and Javi (the newly weds) were there,
Greg managed to fight his way across Madrid on public transport and arrive fashionably late and Seamus was there with his daughter, Ash. The night was long with plenty of G&T's and some lovely food prepared by Cathy and Kate. You really should try Kate's houmous and salmorejo if you ever get the chance! And of the course the night wouldn't have been complete without people getting up and dancing to Dave's Elvis CD and funky disco ball and Colin giving a superb rendition of his erotic novela - Ye Conquest.
